On April 15, 2025, the Secretariat of the National Standardization Technical Committee for Lighting Appliances and the domestic technical counterpart of IEC/TC 34, Beijing Electric Light Source Research Institute Co., Ltd., held the "IEC/TC 34 Intelligent Lighting Domestic Technical Interface Expert Group Seminar and National Standard Promotion Meeting for Key Areas of Intelligent Lighting" at Halsey Technology Group Co., Ltd.
Zhang Wei, the overall coordinator of IEC/TC 34 domestic technology matching work and deputy director of the National Electric Light Source Quality Supervision and Inspection Center (Beijing), Deng Maolin, deputy secretary-general of the China Lighting Electrical Appliances Association, Liu Shu, convener of the Intelligent Lighting Domestic Technology Matching Expert Group, attended the meeting. Experts from the Intelligent Lighting Technology Matching Expert Group and representatives from more than 20 enterprises also attended the meeting. This conference focuses on the development of domestic and international standards in the field of intelligent lighting, and jointly explores the future development of standardization work in intelligent lighting.
Firstly, Deputy Director Zhang Wei welcomed the attendance of the guests and expressed gratitude to Haoersai for his support of this conference. He looks forward to in-depth communication with industry colleagues through this conference. She stated that her future work will focus on building an expert team, establishing effective and systematic work methods. She hopes to establish a regular work conference mechanism through this meeting, regularly discuss key issues in the field of intelligent lighting, gather consensus, and lay a solid foundation for the long-term development of standardization work.
Subsequently, Wang Chong, a standard engineer at Beijing Electric Light Source Research Institute Co., Ltd., reported on the development of national standards in key areas, introducing the development trend of intelligent lighting, international standard progress, domestic standard situation, current situation analysis and future plans, national standard development process and time requirements, as well as project application material preparation.
During the meeting, the proposing units of intelligent lighting standards reported on their respective national standard proposals, and the attending experts discussed the background, necessity, feasibility, and relevant technical content of the new standard proposal.
In the afternoon meeting, Dr. Liu Shu, the convener of the domestic technology matching expert group for intelligent lighting and the chief technical expert of Haoersai Technology Group Co., Ltd., gave a work report, introducing the composition of the expert group and the progress of the 2024 IEC TC34 intelligent lighting related standards one by one.
In addition, as the project leader of the IEC 63116 "General Requirements for Lighting Systems" standard, she also highlighted the issues that arose during the development process of the standard, and conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions with the attending experts on the feedback collected during the solicitation stage.
Experts attending the conference conducted in-depth discussions on the definition, scope, technical architecture, and standard system of lighting systems faced in the standardization of intelligent lighting. Based on their respective technical fields and practices, they discussed topics such as industry collaboration and alignment with international standards in the implementation and application of standards, providing valuable industry insights for improving China's intelligent lighting standard system.
The purpose of this meeting is to implement the requirements of the National Standardization Development Outline on "promoting the interactive development of standardization and technological innovation, and improving the mechanism for transforming scientific and technological achievements into standards", accelerate the development process of national standards in the field of intelligent lighting, and promote the coordinated development of domestic and international standards.
